[SG] Hostas damaged

Very sorry to hear about the golf-ball-size hail, Judith. That's an
affliction that sooner or later comes to all of us, unless we are very
lucky (or we live in the desert somewhere, in which case we don't grow
hostas). In the Midwest, prime hosta and hail country, I have heard of
people who mowed their hostas to the ground after hail damage and in just
a couple of weeks they had regenerated and looked beautiful. So feel free
to cut them back. This time of year they'll grow like crazy!
