Thanks to all who've responded to this thread. I'm now squinting hard at my
photo and trying to decide which is what. If it ever quits raining, I will
go examine the leaves on my plant to see if there is any tinge of purple
not previously noticed.
Where are the taxonomists who can sort out whether C. ramosa is still or
ever was valid?? Hortus III, which is getting sadly out of date, does not
list C. ramosa at all, even as a var. of C. simplex. Does anyone have the
new RHS Plant Finder??
