RHS Index of Garden Plants indicates C. ramosa Nak., with ternate leaves,
and C. simplex Wormsk. ex DC with biternate leaves.
Other differences noted:
ramosa simplex
height to 2m+ 60-120 cm
leaflets oblong-oval ovate-suborbicular
raceme length to 40 cm to 30 cm
hardiness z 9 z 5
The rest of the descriptions are not comparable, so I can't really
tell if the person who did this genus really saw both plants.
Both are from Kamchatka, and I wonder if the zone designations are
really correct. Perhaps someone with access to a copy of Index
Kewensis will track down Nakai's description of C. ramosa. With luck,
there's a comparison to the older C. simplex description.
