Funny you should mention this. It is exactly what happened to me 2 springs
ago. I asked my aunt to pick up 2 of the white baneberries (Actea pachypoda)
at Winter Nursery in notherin Wisconsin which is near her cabin....a very nice
nursery, I might add. She brought back 2 plants and told me how the sales
person was concerned that they might be Cimicifugas instead. Well it turned
out that one was a Cimicifuga racemosa and the other was Actea pachypoda, but
I sure couldn't see what the difference while they were in their pots. I like
both plants alot and have since gotten more of each!!
