Suppose someone comes to your garden and admires this beautiful cyme of a
white petaled flower and they ask you what it is. You reply that it is a
Peltiphyllum peltatum.
They are novices and go to a nursery to acquire one. No one knows what they
are talking about, cuz the name is now Darmera peltatum.
Suppose that someone is a very knowledgeable person and says -Wow! your
Darmera peltatum is lovely. You respond--That's a species of Peltiphyllum---
Your credibility is RUINT!
