Hydrofracking is a procedure in which large amounts of water are shot down your well
(4500 gal, I believe, in our case) at very high pressure in an attempt to break
cracks in the surrounding rock. More cracks = more paths for water into the well.
It's being done frequently in this area, and even on new wells. However, only a few
well-drillers do it. Oddly enough, when the truck was pulling out of our yard, it
got stuck. Last summer must have been wetter than this one has been so far!
