1. I'll be signing off for a while during a trip to Orlando, Florida, where
my son Justin will be competing in the National Karate Championships. And,
of course, we'll see at least part of the theme parks of the region, where,
as one wag wrote, "A man enters with his children, his money and his wits,
and leaves with his children only, sandbagged by a thousand catch-penny
engines."
Anyone have any tips on nice public gardens in the Orlando area?
2. Does anyone have any information, such as relative hardiness and
cultural methods, on the Canary Island Echiums (specifically wildprettii,
pininana and fastuosum)? These are plants related to our common Viper's
Bugloss but very spectacular in bloom. I have all three, they are
thriving, but what do I do next?
