Miterworts, all have a superficial resemblance. Since the leaves turn a
orangy-bronze I am going to use it as a ground cover in a foundation
planting near the house which has cactus-green siding with white trim.
Using lots of bronze or burgundy foliage plants for winter interest.
Now you are making me go look at them, as I have not noticed an orange cast
to them. Perhaps a difference in climate may affect their winter coat? The
foundation planting sounds yummy. Any bergenias in that mix? Mine turn a
wonderful burgundy color in the winter and planted under a redtwig dogwood
the combination is a colorful winter spot in my winter garden. What else
are you using for that planting?
