I do not know if the raccoon will be happier-they have babies now most
likely, And Raccoons, as do deer, like living around people. Plenty of food
and places to find shelter and few predators. How much easier of a life can
a Raccoon ask for than to live under a porch or aluminum shed and at night
find a few garbage cans to eat out of and some cat food at the next house to
finish off the meal. If it was not afraid of you when you opened the
door-most likely some ones also been feeding it.
