Hello Louise,
3 Hostas I have used in pots in combination with other perennials are
Great Expectations (green & gold), Patriot (green & white) and Chinese
Sunrise (gold with thin green border).The variegate leaves really sets off
the other plants. I don't know why you couldn't grow any one you wanted in
a pot, they thrive there.
