I just checked my notes on G. hexafarii (the name on the slide list), but unfortunately, I didn't write down anything about that one.  I did note that Gentiana acaulis 'Ranoch' forms colonies, though, and that I want it!  Do you have that one too and do you like it?

In Rice Creek's catalog there is G. hexafarreri hyb: trumpets in shades of blue, tightly curled folliage. 4" x 6". $6.50.  Do you suppose that's the same plant or a hybrid of G. hexafarii?
