I had to respond here, as I have kids and dogs! My children are great with the
flowers and trees, as they have their own space. They have play areas & their
flower area. Each of my kids have their own garden that they maintain. My
youngest wanted a tree-fort and while I was trying to figure out a tree that I
was willing to put one in, my oldest said no why subject a tree to this. Don't
butcher a tree for his (Daniel) whim. All kids are not bad! Now I also have
dogs they are terrible with bushes! I have started putting lemon peels beside
the bushes and they quit bothering them. I have also heard of putting garlic
cloves around plants, I will do this if the lemon peels quit working:)
