Hi Claire,
Yes, the conversation is light lately. Spring is almost here and some of
us are having a "break" in the weather, so I expect outdoor activities are
in progress.
The current issue of "Organic Gardening" has an article on control of
moles. Has anyone else read this? Moles can be a pest if they disturb
(up-root?) plants, but they do not eat the roots as gophers and voles do.
A soil treatment of a solution of one ounce of caster oil, and a few drops
of dish detergent, per gallon of water is shown to be an effective
repellent, according to tests done in Michigan.
If anyone has experience with repelling moles, please share with us.
