Although I am not familiar with Myer's Zoysia specifically, I too, am
not a fan of Zoysia. Here in St. Louis, Zoysia capital of the world,
we have an overabundance of those straw carpets. I don't really get
the love affair. It is a thick carpet of grass, but so thick,
sometimes, that it causes the lawn mower motor to repeatedly die.
Then it turns brown. More trouble than it's worth, in my opinion.
