Re: [SG] Bulb Tool

I have used an auger with a 3" diameter. This was purchased from Pinetree
Garden Seeds. This works fairly well but in very sandy soils you may have a
little trouble with soil refilling the holes.
I prefer the bulb planter that has a cylinder attached to a 3" handle. This
type of planter has a bar at the top of the cylinder that you step on to
sink into the ground. Simply pull the planter out of the ground, drop your
bulb in the hole and shake the soil from the planter to refill the hole.
I recommend having a helper because you can dig the holes fast enough to
keep a friend busy placing bulbs in the holes.
