It is the red lily beetle and only attacks true lilies(bulb ones).It can ruin
a plant overnight. To my knowledge it is only here on the east coast, mainly
in Massachusetts. It is slowly working its way west. SO beware. However "they"
are working on a predator wasp that may do it in. Only eats other plants if it
is really desperate for food.
Sevin is supposed to help in the beetle fight, but it really doesn't. We just
pick 'em off.
