Hi List:
I had a geranium that I had been growing since spring and decided to take
stem cuttings from it, but already I feel I've done something wrong. This is
what I did: I took a healthy shoot and cut away the bottom leaves, then I
took
a three inch pot with sand and peat moss, dipped the shoot in growing
horomone, then planted it. Then I covered the pot with a baggie, making sure
to cover the whole pot. My first question: Should I have taken off all of
the
leaves? I left some at the top of the shoot. One day after I had done this,
several of the top leaves turned brown, so I panicked and took the plastic
bag off. But, should I have just left it on there, and let the leaves turn
brown?
What did I do wrong? I have one shoot that I left the plastic bag on there.
It's leaves are also turning brown. Any suggestions on what I did wrong?
TIA,
Jennifer Sheppard, Zone 8
