There are at least two excellent sources in the Puget Sound area for auriculas
and alpine auriculas. Try
http://www.eskimo.com/~mcalpin/rick/rick.html for Mt. Tahoma Nursery in Graham,
WA or (360) 295-3116 for A Plethora of Primulas in Vader, WA. Both of these
locations are east / souheast of Olympia-Tacoma. Sometimes the nurseries will
have a few (mostly garden auriculas, which tend toward a washed out
mauve-magenta), but the best source apart from these two are the annual sales
at Rhododendron Species Foundation (253-927-6960
Mail: PO Box 3798, Federal Way, WA 98063-3798) and Northwest Horticultural
Society
(206-527-1794University of Washington, Box 354115, Seattle, WA 98195-4115). Or
try the American Primula Society at
http://www.eskimo.com/~mcalpin/apsseed.html.
