Re: [SG] Arisaema/ berries

Hello sally & Beth,
One of the Bobbi(ie)s has called it correctly. Arisaema has one or more
seeds inside a fleshy interior and slightly tougher skin and they are in
'bunches' on a stalk. Berries. If you like the sight of Jack in the Pulpits
berries then look for the Green Dragon's berries in the forest floor. About
three times as large and a bright waxy red. They are usually about 3 weeks
to a month later than Jack's. Arum italicum has a great show of these types
of displays and usually in stands of multiple stalks. Quite showy. (Arum is
related to Jack). The Arisaema or Jacks from other parts of the world can
have varying colors of berries.
