I don't use poison in my garden. If I notice slug damage, I go out
at night with a flashlight, pick the slugs off the plants, put them
on a hard surface and stomp them.
During the day, they like to hide under and between plant pots, so
every once in a while I'll lift up my potted plants and remove the
slugs.
