I have had very good results from the different slug baits.
Its important to treat BEFORE damage occurs, I use an application in late
summer and again in early spring. If the area has migrations of slugs during the
year from other areas I will treat maybe four times a year.
Beer is not a good idea if you live in an area that has habitat for slugs
around you. They can smell the beer from a good distance away, and all you are
doing is attracting them to your yard. The slimy buggers can move a good
distance each night to get to a new area of food.
