Hi Carmel,
While it's 'work', it's as wonderful as you might have imagined it will be.
Different answers will depend on what area you will want to concentrate on.
Do you want to grow uncommon plants in liners on a spare 1/2 acre at home?
or work in a garden center caring for the plants and helping people? or
would you prefer doing gardening work in other people's yards?
Are you looking for self-employed part/full time work, or a regular job
with a consistent regular paycheck?
I'm assuming you are looking for somewhat flexible hours at first(accent
on somewhat :-)), and may want to work either alone or with just a few
other people.
Where do you live? Is gardening just a 4-5 month seasonal prospect in your
part of the country? Do you live in an area where garden centers advertise
winter snow plowing? :-)
Lots of questions, I know. :-) I would suggest deciding which areas
interest you most, and persuing those, if they are feasable.
To put it in gardening terms: do you want to weed rows of pots? enable
fellow Garden addicts? or weed beds of flowers?
