Bobbie, I planted a blue corydalis called Corydalis ex dufu Temple here in
my zone 4 garden 3 years ago. I've found that the plants almost never make
it through the winter, but I get babies that begin blooming in midsummer.
Those seeds must really fly, because this spring I found one that did make
it through our mild winter last winter. I had no idea that the plant was
even there last fall, but judging from the size of it, it must have.
Either the seed was carried 70 yards away, or the seed flew over the barn!
It was out in full sun, and while we were getting plenty of rain, it looked
good. But I did not want to look at a fried plant, so I pulled it in June.
This fall, I see about 100 seedlings where that plant was.
