I searched the 1999 Siberian Iris Check List, and
Christy Hensler is correct, the only two Siberian Iris
with Magenta in their name are MAGENTA MOMENT, by Calvin
Helsley (1993), and MAD MAGENTA, by Mrs. F. W. (Bee)
Warburton, 1986. There are eight introductions with MAD
MAGENTA as a parent.
No Siberian has ever been named "Magenta".
Howard Brookins in cold Wisconsin, where our snow has
almost vaniashe, leaving the lawns a lush green!
Siberian's are too smart to be poking their sprouts up
yet, and the daffodils look like flowers again!
