Leroy, let's approach this from the positive angle. What modern Siberians
would you recommend? I am just getting started with Siberians and only
have about half a dozen, so at this point I am looking basically for good
performers. What is your definition of modern? Anyone else is welcome to
answer also.

Karen, Zone 3, northern Montana, USA
where the sibs and other iris are now covered with about six inches of
snow, alkaline soil, annual precipitation 9-12 inches, thaw and freeze
cycles in the winter due to the chinook winds, it is a "nice day" when the
wind does not blow so want substantial foliage
in a couple of days it is to be in the 50s
