Re: Popularity Polls - pro or con


Just a thought.  If we quit having popularity polls because the rate of participation is small, we might as well quit having elections in this country for the same reason.    I like to know what other people like the best, but that doesn't make me buy their choices.   I wonder how many people see such a pop. poll and are influenced to buy.  Is this a factor, or is that just what it's commonly believed happens, though nobody has ever shown that it is the case?    Personally I favor having the polls because they iindicate what people who really care are thinking.
