Re: Distinctive Sibs / Images

Hi Timm and all:

We are also in Michigan and prefer fall planting -August to the end of
September. This still gives enough time for roots to establish before the
ground freezes.

We have had problems with spring planting unless it is very early. When
the weather warms up quickly, plants seem slow to reestablish their root
systems. And if they do hang on they just seem to sulk until the next year.

This is a perennial discussion and seems to relate to personal experience.
I don't think there is a wrong time if you are willing to give them
sufficient care. Judy Hollingworth
