Claire, we still only have I. typhifolia blooming in the cold,
pouring rain in the beardless classes. We have similar climates
in the Northeast US. Strange how we wanted rain so badly and now
we want it to stop so I can weed. The weeds are running amok and
I see wonderful buds on the TBs, IBs and MTBs but the weeds are
the winners. These is the first time my husband went down to the
hardware store and actually bought a weed killer...not that he
weeds - that is my bailiwick. He is trying to get rid of the
weed that is northern bamboo (that is what folks here call it):
