Re: what to buy

I keep a bloom chart of siberians and it is very interesting how few days
some varieties bloom and usually it is the early varieties that don't bloom
but 3-4 days. Somehow that is not quite enough. Sometimes it may be location
is not right/weather is wrong. A few long blooming varieties for me this year
are Sweet Surrender from May 24-May 10. Where Eagles Dare from May 31-June 15
and may bloom 1-3 days longer. Mary Louise Michie bloomed from May 29-June
14, Purple Sand bloomed June 4-15, not a large clump and that does affect
length of bloom. Maurice Pope June 5 -15+, Hanagasume has been blooming from
May 31-June 15 and maybe a day/two more. Fond Kiss bloomed 2-11. Esther
C.D.M. Just began blooming June 10, My 2 whites Glow of Happiness and
Slightly Envious are just barely beginning to bloom. It is true that
branching prolongs bloom time and also if it puts up later blooming stalks. I
am not growing as many siberians as I used to so can't be quite as much help.
