This comes by way of Bob Sawyer, Region One RVP, who was
notified by Ted White (son of John White) :
>>> We received word tonight that Dr. McEwen fell at his home
and broke his hip. He is presently at Mid-Coast Hospital in
Brunswick where he underwent surgery to repair the break. We do
not have any further details, but of course, at his age this is
a serious situation. When I hear any further news, I'll let you
