{Disarmed} Re: Hyb: Seedling


Christy,
I was a little confused by your use of the term "balanced", so I went to your website and figured it out. However, as I come to the end of another season of evaluating hundreds of I. ensata seedlings, I see absolutely nothing in this photo to suggest even a hint of I. ensata. If balance is what you are working for, may I suggest that you try crossing 'Adrenaline Rush' whose balance is extremely weighted toward the Siberian side with a Japanese iris instead of a Siberian?

An interesting seedling from Helen Astor X Adrenaline Rush. The shorter, rounder standards and flaring falls are a surprise. This is just the type of seedling I was hoping to try crossing to some of the more balanced Ensiberians.
