Re: Pet peeve!

I have a small commercial garden and am obsessive about having the correct
cultivar name. However I know that 99% of what I sell will not be
identifable next year. When I find a misidentification I put a "for sale
cheap" sign on it and will dig it for the first interested customer. Almost
none who aren't commercial worry at all about the name.

I suspect that 50 to 75% of the customer who buy those unnamed Siberians
would not be able to tell you that what they purchased was a Siberian iris
by next spring. I understand your feelings but the general commercial
gardeners know it doesn't make a difference to their sales.
