Hi all.
Thank you Ellen for sending me details of the
sibrob group and I look forward to getting to know you all in time. I'm a little
shy :)
Hi Laurie,
Just a few comments form down under on your irises
being slow to come away. I am not familiar with VI LUIHN or CAMBRIDGE so
can not pass comment on them but KING OF KINGS would have to be a favourite.
It is normally late in spring for its growth
habits and the small green shoots just sit there and tease you. I put slug and
snail bait around at this time as the small green tips are a smorgasbord to them
when the shoots begin to move as soil and air temperatures warm up.
Especially after warm spring rains.
KING OF KINGS is a great white, an outstanding SIB
when in flower and makes a statement in a garden border looking great when
planted in groups of 3 or five or more in a drift, if room permits. It has good
strong sturdy flower stems and beautiful clean white petals which I find
are very durable for its hardiness as it stands up the medium
winds.
Cheers
Eddie
