Some points to be made:
1. A feeler was put out by me last month or so about folks using
a shared list for SIBROB. I received not one affirmative response
and the consensus seemed to be that PHOTOS be sent to the iris-photo
list on OneList and folks can be advised when they post any Sib
pictures and we all can go view them.
2. Harold, beautiful pix but you post to the iris-photo list and
that is the proper venue for photo attachments. My computer jammed
three times when I was trying to download it last night (I was away
at college graduations for a few days). I was not a happy camper.
3. If anyone doesn't know how to *get on* the iris-photo list, please
email me privately for the info.
4. Remember no attachments on this mailing list - it is not conducive
for sharing of info since some of us have grumpy, old outdated
computers which balk at these things. Any text attachments should be
sent as in-line text so all can read the info you want to send to the
list. E-mail vehicles work differently and it isn't always possible
to look at the post and decide if it is worth the risk of trying to
open it.
5. Peony-l, etc. are part of the OneList family of flower lists. I
belong to that list but have been on no mail for so long that I
forgot who was on EXCEPT that Al Rogers and Jim Waddick belong and
some other well-known plant people. Al Rogers wrote a fine book on
peonies and was the owner of Caprice Nursery in Oregon that his
daughter runs now. I received an exceptional order from them
last Fall. Sorry - I know I am off-topic. :(
6. We have located a SIBROB member who kept the posts to help
Chris Lindsey in setting up our archives. Thank you Juri in
Moscow.
Cheers,
Ellen
