RE: photo comparison

Patience has its rewards... one nice thing is that the file area is optional and any files viewed there can be saved onto your hard drive for later viewing. No one has to go there.   ...and it is nice to sometimes look at photos that are not reduced down to such a small size and with so much compression that the impact of the image and much subtle detail is lost. And that would be exactly my opinion of the revised version of my photo created by Harold.

I have attached a .jpg compression of a reduced image of Chris's Strawberry Fair photograph. When I copied the file, egroups gave the size as 194 kb. When I reduced the size about 50% and used a compression of 12 to 1, the file size was only 31 kb. The entire process took less than a minute. I do not have a fast computer or modem per current standards but a 30 kb email attachment only takes a few seconds for me to receive. I prefer attachments over going to the files areas if the file size is under about 60 kb. Loading the file from egroups to view it in Internet Explorer required definite waiting for the transfer.
