When you write in something other than ASCII or whatever straight text is
called, the quote is mangled in response. I have to jump through hoops to
paste your text into the reply. What is the point of it?
Measuring the physical size of the image, I find that about all you
achieved was reducing the size of the file by reducing the image size. (the
file is about 15% smaller than just the image reduction). That is not the
comparison I am looking for.
Here's an idea: send the smaller image as attachment. Post the larger image
to the files site, if one feels folks will want to look at it. Then people
can go look for the larger image if it is really essential; but we have the
convenience of the immediate image if that is all we want.
