Hello everybody, I got a pleasant surprise today.  I've got my first two 
seedlings of the year blooming today.  One maiden bloom, the other is 
second year.  They look really similar, but the maiden bloom one turned 
out with alot more 
haft markings and fairly long horns.  This is my first SA seedling, I'm 
really excited.  I've been stuck at work all day trying to explain to people 
who barely know what an Iris is.  The haft marbling (for lack of a better 
term) extends into the horn.  I'm sure most will think the form is narrow 
by 
modern standards, but hey it's my first SA seedling:).  This is one of the 
several seedlings that are from my mixed pollen dobbing, no parentage 
recorded.  The closest parent phenotypically would be Hook em horns, 
probably mixed with an older variety, just speculating. Here's several 
pics of the marbled horns, and the sibling that looks alot like it, and has 
BS.  I'll try to get a better, less weathered pic when the next bud opens.
