We also got our first SA seedling bloom this year. Isn't it a wonderful 
jump up and down and shout it to the rooftops feeling!
We even share the same response from co-workers. Pardon the pun but I do 
believe your hooked now.

Your right about too many pics. If you had waited a week for the 
excitement to subside you could have posted 2 of the first 4 in one 
message and the Beard Spine Extensions on the sib in another message.

Like Neil I find the continuation of the haft marks on the beard  a 
significant contribution to understanding SpaceAge expression. Thank you 
for the great photos that make it so easy to see.

How was your weather? a rough approxiamation of the high for the day 
after the first bud appeared? Warmer than usual or any other weather 
effects that might have put the plant under stress?
