{Disarmed} [SpaceAgeRobin] Re: Spring Bloom

Here in the San Francisco bay area we're starting to get
lots of bloom. Only two SA so far for me, though -
reliable Red Canyon Glow came through as usual, and
I have bloom on Special Feature again this year.
I know this one is known for the double beards, but
is it also prone to deformed flowers? A couple of the
flowers that have opened are missing parts (one opened
with just one standard & fall!).

Guess my other SA iris are taking the year off -
too bad I won't have anything blooming to defend
my "Best Space Age Iris" trophy from the Mt. Diablo
Iris Society show of last year. It's the coolest
iris trophy - the top of it is shaped like Saturn,
very 60s :-)

Wishing you all a good bloom season,

Jean
