[SpaceAgeRobin] Re: HYB:SA appendages

Juri,

Hmmmmm.... interesting but I don't know what to make of this. One
would assume that the better growing plants would produce the
appendages and the frozen one would not. The really blows my theory
of freeze thaw cycles effecting appendage develpoment in to space.
Perhaps it's the concentration of SA genes in ANNOUNCEMENT that
allowed it to express these flounces. I'd be curious to know the
parentage. This might be an indication that ANNOUNCEMENT may be a
good breeder for SA expression in colder climates but perhaps it's
genetically unstable and will never bloom properly for you like a few
SA's I have here like LURID and DIETY. Please let us know how
ANNOUNCEMENT does this Spring.

DAUBER'S DELIGHT bloomed with marvelous spoons here after a Russian
like winter here in Canada but the plant was not very hardy and
died. I'm thinking of trying BLUE FIN instead since it does well for
Chuck Chapman.
