If I have any seedlings worth sharing, I'll be open to that. I also have lot's of room, so I'd welcome them here also. Hello Neil and all,
Don't tell anyone but I have shipped rhizomes labeled as bulbs across
the border to the states for years without a single problem. Of
course, I ship responsibly and take the time to rinse and bleach soak
the rhizomes before doing so. They do turn a blind eye for small
packages labeled as "bulbs". Am I breaking the law ? Yes but I'm
doing so responsibly ;-)
As for trading seedlings, I've already started this with Donald but
at this point, it's more for curiosity sake, for example, vigor and
SA expression in a climate radically different from mine. I don't
have anything worth introducing yet.
I think it's a great idea but it'll be a while before I have anything
really good to share. At this point, I'm thrilled to see even an
ugly seedling bloom. I was also thinking that being a Northern
gardener, it'll always be a year or two behind the rest of you but
I'll have to make do with what I have and I'll be pleased to share
whatever appears to be good AND tough.
Chris
