RE: [SpaceAgeRobin] CAT:Shine on Through [was: Accent Iris Gardens/Vince Christopherson website ]

On the other hand, Devonshire Cream does not grow well for me.  I had it in a guest garden for two years.  The first year it bloomed on a deformed, pineappled stalk.  I babied it enough to keep it alive for the next year, but it didn’t bloom and eventually died.  I’m not crazy enough about it to try again.

Francelle, that is very good to know.  I'm tempted to get it, as I think it might be an interesting parent for SA's, considering what it shows.

Wouldn't a cross of it with DEVONSHIRE CREAM be fun!  Neither have Austin heritage, both are borderline SA's.  Their progeny may allow the traits to emerge full blown.

I was thinking of trying DEVONSHIRE CREAM with SPIRIT WORLD itself, provided the latter does bloom.  The plant seems to be getting acclimated and beginning to grow rather well.  It has yet to bloom, but looks like it may this year.
