Re: [SpaceAgeRobin] CAT:Shine on thru, D Cream, Superstition

Evening all,

Question is, how will it do here in the great North ? If it bloomed here and I was able to cross it with the vigorous DEVONSHIRE CREAM, then I stand a chance of getting some very growable seedlings for the North.

As for DC, wasn't Mike Sutton supposed to change the parantage because they thought they made an error in the registration process ? I was under the impression that it is now believed to have SA ancestry. This would be great to know before we start using it with the SAGE crosses. Are you there Mike ? Regardless of parentage, it is still an amazing specimen.

It's nice to see some posts start flowing again. We've been enduring the winter which feels like it has gone on forever but the weather is just starting to turn. The snow is just starting to melt off the roof of the house and if things continue this way, I should be able to see the iris beds in about 3 to 4 weeks.

On another note, I just received my Superstition catalogue, thanks R&R ! I see they have an interesting $3.00 section that includes some useful SA's for possible SAGE use. Among them are TRILLION, THORNBIRD, YAQUINA BLUE, PAGAN PINK ( Strongly recommended by Moores), a Zurbrigg in DURHAM DREAM, Sutton's BYE BYE BLUES, GOOD FAIRY and one I've wanted for a while now, BURST, Blyth 1993. Also for $4.00 I've spotted another one on my wish list in WIDDERSHINS. There's also a bunch of mouth watering stuff in the Historic section. Ahhhh decisions, decisions......

Chris
