Re: Re: planted seeds out today and SDB

Yes mike it was a pod tag. So, it's not a bee pod, I know I had a cross on
it, but at harvest the tag was gone. I like your idea of connecting the tag
to the pot. These pot tags I used are mini-blind sections cut into 6"
lengths/permanent marker. The tag is way down in the dirt, I'm
hoping this will keep the tags in. I wonder If I could use a hole punch
and put a hole in the tag and pot and wire them at the top. That would
really keep them in.
Also, The frost last night only got the morning glories, I covered IB SA HI
with a sheet. It made it through fine, I'm hoping I can still coax it to
rebloom. Tea Leaves is reblooming like crazy, repeating, 11buds on
some stalks. It's scoring big points with me, and confusing my
neighbors and mailman. Tea Leaves is Sky Hooks X Violet Classic. It's
showed some BS and BSE's.
I also have some SDB's that are trying to rebloom for the first time for
me.
Sparkplug has twice already and another stalk on it. I brought a flower
of it in, and noticed this little "horn." I could just be fused hairs, but I
thought you might enjoy. :)
It was a Byers intro, so it could? have SA in the background, haven't
checked though...
This was a good year for Iris here.
No rot, and the best rebloom yet.

also. I use aluminum tags with a hole drilled in them. Then I drill a hole
in the pot and attach the tag with a wire tie. Very secure.

a razor knife and bend it back and forth till it breaks. Use a cheep pair of
scissors to round the corners, they can cut you.

ready now. This year I am using clear address labels with the crosses
and seed count on them. After printing the sheet I sprayed two coats of
polyurethane. I experimented this summer and one coat would not work.
Water will remove black ink but it does not fade too quickly. White
labels do not work as they will peel off after getting wet.
