I also grow my potatoes in small containers, but then we like to harvest
them as baby potatoes, so it works fine for me. I haven't had any luck
growing them in the ground -- bad drainage, I think, and we haven't gotten
around to building a raised bed for the potatoes. Pots have been working
very well.
