Hi, Linda.  The zucchini should outstrip the cucmbers in growth rate very
soon.  It is likely that the thick-stemmed plants are zucchini.  Please let
us know how your plants progress after planting out.  I have tried in the
past to start both of these indoors, but they seem to be set back
sufficiently once taken out to erase any benefit starting indoors might
have.  Of course, I don't know if I could be doing something wrong - so let
us know how yours do, it will give me a clue.
