Hi, I'm Lisa and I'm formerly a lurker!
I live in Sydney Australia, and my climate zone is possibly equivalent to
USDA 10, but we call that temperate over here (the USDA zones don't
really apply to places outside the US, funnily enough). It's rapidly
approaching spring here, and I have been out planting my tomatoes,
eggplants and chiles. I also have a whole lot of radishes to plant, and
of course, that summer staple, corn. We had an extremely wet winter this
year, hopefully that's the last of it - lots of flooding - and my family
and I narrowly avoided contracting Giardia and Chrystosporidium, lovely
parasites that recently infected Sydney Water, ensuring we had to boil
all tap (faucet) water even to brush our teeth and wash our hands. And
we call this civilisation!
Anyway, I think you will be able to find Sydney on your globe Monica,
it's a big town!
Happy Gardening
Lisa Hafey
