Put me down for zone 6 I think, just south of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
Very similar to the climate Margaret has I think. So far the warm weather
crops are doing way better than the cold weather ones. Peppers, tomatos,
corn, onions, and one lonely melon plant. I've also spent way too much time
watching the various bees and butterflies that come visiting to my anise
hyssop patch. Something great about coming home from work, leaning on the
fence and watching bumble bees plundering the blossoms. Always makes me smile.
Sorry I haven't posted much but I've been busy enjoying the warm weather and
just getting the warm weather veggies in and going strong.
Question for the group; can I plant lettuce and mesclun now for fall harvest
or will the warm (darn near hot) soil just kill the seeds?
As always thank you for the help and the patience. For my first year of
gardening, it's been pretty fun and not nearly as disasterous as I expected.
Mike
