Re: Kohlrabi

Hi,
Thanks for all of the comments so far on Kohlrabi. I'm not quite sure I
have the right climate to grow this veggie, but I will keep trying. I have
a small garden and am planting just for my husband and myself.

This morning I have some Kohlrabi leaves fully intact. Perhaps the hard
rains we've had the last few days have washed some little pests away. I
didn't suspect slugs, since they would normally attack my lettuce, and the
lettuce is fine. The plants are not growing quickly, though, the seedlings
are not too spindly but are not compact. Is there anything I could do for
them at this point? The climate here is so variable. The seeds germinated
during a cool spell, and now the temperatures have risen again. I think
I'll do a second planting next week and see what comes.

Lynn, you said you had such a successful crop and I am wondering in what
part of the world you live. When did you plant your fall crop?
