Hi dottie I have a multiplier onion that is perennial and I grow Egyptian
top onions also.
The multiplier is the size of a good shallot and you plant one and it
makes a good bunch of new onions all around itself. I started out with 10
sets and now i have enough to eat and give away and plant too.
My top onions are the same. I use these to make dry green onions and I
use the things like scallions.
I ordered evergreen onion seed it's reported to be another perennial. I
live in CT (c: I grow onion sets but my main stay onions are the top
onions and multiplier onions. Where do you live I could send you a few
multipliers? Thats how I got them via the e-mail
I plant them in the fall here, at the same time I plant my garlic, but
have planted them in the spring.
